What’s the ideal diet for you? Whether you’re a carnivore, an herbivore, or like most of us; an omnivore, there’s an ideal diet for you. It’s the one closest to nature. That’s right… I believe in eating as many unprocessed foods as possible, while avoiding the others. Now there are all sorts of “Diets” out there, and even a cookie diet, yah…not kidding! Although the cookie diet may sound appealing in theory believe me, it will wreak havoc on your blood sugar, arteries, energy, and waistline! The best nutritional advice I can give you is to eat as close to nature as possible, but what does that mean?
When we were cavemen we had to hunt for our food and live off of the land so that’s exactly what we ate, food that once had life! Lean proteins, fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and grains should be included in your diet to reach overall nutritional health! With all of our advances in food processing it can be easy to go down the wrong eating path, just keep it simple! Shop the perimeters of your local grocery store, this is where you will find your greens, veggies, fruits, nuts, seeds, and lean proteins! Stay away from the interior isles of the store, avoid temptation at all costs!
I agree that it requires a little more effort to eat this way, but with a little planning and occasional preparation, it’s so worth while. Your body deserves no less, and your health and physical condition will show the results. So eat as nature intended us to. Why would you eat any other way? Enjoy!
